As industry leaders, we specialize in the discontinuation and abandonment of licensed and unlicensed pipelines. This includes partial pipeline abandonments, line splits, pipeline removals, pipeline resumptions and deletions.

In addition, we complete all pre-job notifications and acquisition of all required agreements such as Road Use or Crossing Agreements prior to work commencing and once the physical work is completed we submit all applicable licensing amendments to the ERCB on behalf of our clients.

Our abandonment teams have extensive experience decommissioning Batteries, Tank Farms, Gathering Systems, Water Injection Plants, Satellites, Well Sites, Compressors and Gas Plants.

We believe the decommissioning of a facility is the first step in the remediation and reclamation process. By ensuring all suspended surface and sub-surface production equipment has been purged and properly removed the remediation and reclamation of a site can safely proceed.

We work closely with our clients and remediation/reclamation specialists to ensure all relevant site information is communicated effectively to increase site safety, minimize environmental impacts and reduce costs.

As defined by the ERCB Directive 006, the "Licensee Liability Rating (LLR) Program is the liability management program governing most conventional upstream oil and gas wells, facilities, and pipelines…" and a "Liability assessment is an assessment conducted by a licensee to estimate the cost to suspend, abandon, remediate, and reclaim a site"

When the ERCB began requesting Liability Assessments from Oil and Gas companies to determine what the present day costs would be to abandon and decommission their liabilities, JSK expanded to incorporate Licensee Liability Ratings into our business.

Since 2005, JSK Consulting Ltd. has completed over 300 Licensee Liability estimates for our clients.

We are able to provide our clients with the option of utilizing JSK Consulting Ltd. as a General Contractor. We have developed an extensive Sub Contractor Management Program that allows us to retain the services of experienced subcontractors, pay their invoices and oversee their safety program on behalf of our clients.
